We have commissioned a range of research linked to various projects within the regional delivery plan. This research is designed to inform future delivery of the Strategy for Sustainable Farming and Food (SSFF) in the East Midlands.

Think Farming and Food

On December 12th 2002 the Government launched its Strategy for Sustainable Farming & Food. To ensure that the strategy makes a real difference to farming, the food chain and rural communities the Government Offices and Regional Development Agencies in each region have been tasked with the co-ordination of a Regional Delivery Plan.

The Regional Delivery Plan "Think Farming and Food" is a framework for action to achieve a sustainable future for our farming and food industries in the East Midlands. The Plan sets out a range of priorities and proposed actions to assist development and influence and direct change within the industry. The actions in the Plan aim to make a real difference.
